West Way Therapy offers a range of services that can be accessed individually or combined to meet your    individual needs. A treatment plan will be formulated with you during your assessment and can be adjusted as required throughout your therapy.

Services Available

 

  • Counselling & Psychotherapy

Counselling and Psychotherapy are talking therapies that allow you to explore your issues through discussing them with someone impartial and non-judgemental who will help you to explore your issues and how they are affecting you. 

 

Counselling tends to focus on issues that you are experiencing in your present that are causing you short term difficulties, whereas Psychotherapy looks more deeply at issues that may be more complex and may take more time to resolve fully.

 

Many therapists use the terms interchangeably and, often, a client starting Counselling may actually need Psychotherapy and vice versa. Don't worry if you aren't sure which you need; we can make these decisions as we go and the distinction is not important in terms of the actual therapy you receive.

  • Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy utilises the power of your own mind to bring about changes in your thoughts, feelings or         behaviour. West Way Therapy offers Clinical Hypnotherapy to support you to overcome the issues that are         affecting you; this is not the 'stage hypnotherapy' that you may be used to seeing on television. You will not 

be asleep or not in control of your actions or thoughts but, instead, will be an active participant in the process.

 

Hypnosis is not 'magic', it is a collaborative effort where the results you achieve are directly correlated with your involvement in the process. Hypnotherapy can be used to address specific issues, but can also be used purely for relaxation.

Coaching can help you to achieve your goals; whether they are personal or work related. Coaching allows you to achieve your potential by removing the obstacles of unwanted behaviours or limiting beliefs that may be in your way. You can achieve your potential and reach your goals! If you do what you have always done, you will get what you have always got. Coaching can help to break this cycle so that you can be the best that you can be. This approach is solution focused and dynamic, it will require you to push your boundaries and to break away from old habits and behaviours with the sole aim of reaching your own personal goals and aspirations.
